Although we already have hotel-style bath towels that we use every day, we needed a “guest set” of towels to complete our bath inventory in our new house. After all, everyone should have a spare set of towels, and I was after the best one I could find.

I decided it was time to jump into a purchase with Quince, and I was curious about the “Quick-Dry” line of towels coming from the bath collection.

Quick-dry Turkish cotton towels in the color I wanted, ready for me to test out and own for life? I was excited.

Here’s my review of the towels I chose, the Quince Turkish Ribbed Quick Dry Bath Towel Bundle, and if I’d recommend them to you.

Quince towels: summary

By this point, you are probably familiar with how I’m currently outfitting my new house with Quince’s Home line, and how happy I am with everything I’ve tried. “Bath” products and towel sets have been a hallmark of Quince since I learned about the brand and saw that they were making timeless luxury products, for less.

So let’s talk about Quince towels. They’re affordable, they look like they’re from a hotel, or Brooklinen, and they’re made of 100% Turkish cotton in best-in-class quality.

I happen to own a Brooklinen set of plush Turkish cotton bath towels that we got from our wedding registry, and when someone asked how they were, I said honestly I’m not so impressed. That was probably because I knew how expensive they were, comparatively, and I just assumed they’d be the best towels in the world.

Why pay more, when the best quality towel sets for my bathroom needs are right in front of me at Quince.com? Quince towels are classics, coming in neat monochrome colors from Ivory, Linen and Silver, to Mineral, Mist and Charcoal (depending on the towel type). They ship free, they have all-star reviews and frankly, I had to try them for myself.

Why I got them

We had a family member stay with us the week before I placed my Quince towel order and we provided them with the only spare towel we could find in the house. It was a little old and worn, and dried really slowly due to being heavy.

Unfortunately for me, we had other towels in storage from our move, and I had no idea where they were.

OK, I’m making this pretty embarrassing. Basically, after the visit ended, we decided it was time to retire that towel and get a fresh “adult” towel set for when we had guests over. By “adult,” I mean upscale towels that mirrored hotel quality: towels that I’d be happy to place in a little guest towel bundle for a guest staying with us.

I hopped on the Quince website, knowing that I could get home essentials for less than other brands, and get quality I could count on. Basically, every home essential I’ve gotten from Quince so far has been perfect. I discuss all those purchases in my Quince Home Collection review.

How I chose the ones I got

As soon as I started shopping the Quince website, I of course got lost with analysis paralysis, just like I did when choosing my Quince Bamboo Sheet set.

Quince now makes tons of towels, from the Turkish Classic Bath Bundle to the Turkish Waffle Terry Bath Towel Bundle, which I eyed.

Based on what I thought I needed, in regard to fast-drying bath towels for house guests, I started looking at the Turkish Ribbed Quick-Dry Bath Sheet Bundle (a sheet is larger than a “towel”) and the Turkish Quick-Dry Towel Bundle (not “ribbed”).

Alright, here is where it got tricky: I knew I wanted a gray color, as I stay away from whites (it bothers me that I can always see hair on them, and, we currently have a white hand towel in our powder room and it looks worn out because it’s light-colored).

I could’ve gone with either the Turkish Ribbed Quick Dry, or the regular Turkish (non-ribbed) Quick-Dry towel bundle. I was going to get the “Grey” color choice, regardless of which product I chose.

The regular Turkish Quick-Dry Towel Bundle only comes in Grey, and currently has more reviews than the Turkish Ribbed. Another difference is the dimensions in the bath towels, peculiarly: the bath towels in the Ribbed set are 30”x56” and in the traditional Turkish Quick-Dry set, the bath towels measure 27” x 54”.

Regardless of these factors, and by this point I was spending entirely too much time deciding, I chose the Turkish Ribbed Quick-Dry Towel set in Grey. I think the simple flat ribbed look spoke to me, and they looked a little less “fluffy” for my storage purposes.

What does the towel set include?

When you’re perusing the Quince Towel section, make sure to note exactly what is in the set of the towel bundle you’re looking at. Some bath sets include wash cloths, and some don’t. Some sets only consist of bath sheets (large bath towels). And some include washcloths, hand towels and bath towels, like the set I chose.

The Quince towel set that I got includes:

  • 2 bath towels, measuring 30”x56”
  • 2 hand towels, measuring standard hand towel size of 20”x30”
  • 2 washcloths, 12”x12” squares

It is possible to buy towels in sets of twos, a la carte, like two washcloths or two bath sheets.

What I like

Here’s a bit on what I like about my Quince Turkish Ribbed Quick-Dry Bath Towel Bundle and why I’m glad I chose it.

How they look

I like the simple and semi-”flat” look of these towels, compared to traditional plush cotton towels that are more hotel-style (my Brooklinen towel set is the traditional style). So, I’m happy to have an alternate type of towel set where I’m trying out a new type of towel for my guest set.

They look uniform and monochrome, and I like the simple edges. You can see how the bath towel looks on the towel hook (next to our shower curtain, which you can learn about at my Quince shower curtain review).

How they feel

They feel soft, and even a little slippery for 100% cotton, which surprised me. I like the ribbing, as it’s good for texture against your body, hands or face when using to dry off.

What’s the story with the quick-dry claim?

In the photos that follow, I ran one of the Turkish Ribbed Quick-Dry washcloths under water and totally soaked it. Then, I rang it out and hung it up to dry.

I checked back 20 minutes later, and…it was still wet. That’s because it’s a towel made of real cotton! It’s not my thin microfiber travel towel that’s supposed to dry that quickly (and doesn’t even dry that quickly, contrary to the claim on the package).

The moral of the story is that these towels might dry faster than other towels, but they’re not super-powered or anything and they don’t have a built-in dryer. I actually think they retain more water than regular plush bath towels because of the ribbing, but that’s because they are absorbent, and that’s what I want in towels.

To be fair, I also drenched the washcloth, and when I use my bath towels for showering, I’m wrapping them around myself to dry off, not drench them in the actual shower. I think we have to give them some grace for being nice towels, not magic towels.

What I don’t like

There’s really nothing I don’t like about these towels.

I’m satisfied with the quality and all the claims about the soft feel and luxury vibe. The quick-dry has worked out nicely and realistically, and they’re not too heavy and cumbersome for my storage space, just like I intended.

I’m happy with the colors they come in. My Brooklinen towels are Charcoal gray, and I got these during my phase of “I can’t stand the sight of a single hair on my bath towels,” so I wanted something dark.

I was ready to try a lighter color for some levity, though, so choosing the light grey color in my Turkish Ribbed towel set made sense.

Price (Comparing to Brooklinen and Parachute Home)

As I happen to have a Brooklinen towel set of two bath towels and two hand towels, that’s where my benchmark of comparison comes from.

As I peruse the Brooklinen site, they’re currently offering two bath towels and two hand towels for “around $80-$100,” depending on the towel type. Actually, they price their Ribbed Bath towel toward the high end, clocking in at $20 more than my Turkish Ribbed Quick-Dry Towel Set, and there’s a kicker: the Brooklinen set doesn’t come with two washcloths.

So there we have it: my Quince towel set, which was all-in $79.90 for a total of six towels (two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths) is a great deal, and is 63% off traditional retail prices if you compare to brands like Parachute Home’s bath line.

This is how it goes for all Quince towels though: the prices are nearly too good to be true and the value is incredible. Where else can you get hotel-quality bath towels for your house or apartment, and pay a price that barely makes me bat an eye?

It’s why I continually shop Quince for my home products.

Ordering experience

I ordered my towels with Quince’s simple checkout experience, which is an online purchase interface that I breeze through pretty quickly.

I ordered on August 2, and my package came on August 7, so the shipping took five days.

I know what you’re thinking: Five days for free shipping? Amazon Prime ships in two, or less!

The thing is, these towels are literally coming from Turkey, so it does take a few days! I’m cool with this timeline, and I even think it’s fast. I didn’t need my towels in a rush. We don’t have any guests coming in the near future as it is!

For tracking my order, I was able to go right to “My Orders” in my online Quince account, and then click “Track Package” to see the timeline and how soon my shipment would come.

If I click “Tracking ID,” I can go right to the carrier’s website; in this case, it was FedEx. There, I could see the granular details of my Quince towels’ journey, all the way from Turkey (seriously!).

Should you get Quince Towels?

Sure, why not? I’d recommend these towels to anyone. They’re affordable, high-quality, good-looking in my bathroom and soft. They come in great colors that’ll match any bathroom. They aren’t too bulky in my storage, which was important to me.

Overall, the shopping experience with Quince is easy, and if you’re not happy with your towels, you can return them (I’ve done two Quince returns before with products that didn’t suit my needs).

To shop the Quince towel department, head to the Bath Towels & Bundles page, and remember that you’ll get free shipping plus 365-day returns when you order at the Quince website directly.
